Politicians ask focus groups if they should back ethnic cleansing
This is the only way to seek moral clarity
British politicians are frantically checking with their focus groups to see if they should support or oppose the ethnic cleansing that is taking place in Gaza. 1.1 million Palestinians have been told to leave northern Gaza in the next 24 hours or face the risk of death. There is some ambiguity over whether this might be going a bit far, given the UN says it won’t be possible for most civilians to leave.
One week ago, Gaza militants committed an unspeakable act of evil against civilians, and until now there was political consensus that Israel should respond with an unspeakable act of evil against civilians. This is how justice works under ordinary circumstances.
However, no one is sure if supporting the latest escalations will be a vote winner and therefore our politicians are in a state of panic. What if the public object to the slaughter of children, even if those children live in Gaza? What if they start noticing Palestinians are humans and that butchering them is just as wrong as butchering Israelis? What if they start asking for *shudder* a peaceful solution to the crisis? It doesn’t bear thinking about.
A spokesperson for Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said:
“While we fully support bombs raining down on densely-packed civilian areas, flattening entire city blocks and killing hundreds of children - and we fully support food, water, and power being cut off in Gaza, meaning hospital patients will needlessly die, we are unsure about the white phosphorous thing.
“The woke element of the Conservative voter base is queasy about chemicals that can melt through human skin, causing agonising lifelong pain, severe disfigurements and even death.
“We therefore need to calculate whether the votes we lose by supporting white phosphorous munitions can be offset by the votes we would pick up from far-right nutters. The problem is those far-right nutters hate Jews as much as they hate Muslims so we’ve no idea how this will go.
“If worst comes to worst, we might have to… oppose a war crime.”
Deeply troubling stuff from the prime minister’s spokesperson there, given we have sent warships to join the destruction and they might not even be used. It genuinely seems like the Conservative Party is in danger of turning woke. Thankfully, opposition leader Sir Keir Starmer was able to provide some moral clarity. He simply said:
“I both do and do not support the use of white phosphorous munitions on civilian populations because Israel has a right to defend itself as long as it stays within international law.”
This is a smart move because it ensures Labour won’t lose support from the people who oppose war crimes or from the people who support war crimes. This is grownup politics.
Labour MP Emily Thornberry asked if Israel could stick to using regular bombs because they’re more humane; Home Secretary Suella Braverman asked if she could have a recording of human screams to add to her personal collection; and Conservative MP Mark Francois picked his nose. Other politicians expressed delight that stocks in arms manufacturers are soaring, although they definitely don’t own any stocks themselves. They’re just really happy for the people who do.
Thankfully, the mainstream media has been doing an admirable job of putting out scare stories without the vaguest attempt at fact-checking to see if we can manufacture consent for escalation. However, it’s unclear if this approach will work because social media users have been fact-checking the mainstream media, necessitating social media censorship.
Personally, I miss the days when we could make up a story like WMDs in Iraq and no one would challenge us. Simpler times.
The leaders of both political parties are in agreement that anyone who calls for peace is a “terrorist sympathiser”, and whatever happens, we must continue the cycle of violence to ensure ordinary people in Israel and Palestine can never live normal lives. I’m afraid human dignity and mutual respect would be bad for business x

Frighteningly too close to the truth. Brilliant!!
More than 40% of the population in Gaza is 14 years of age and under.
The median age of Gaza is 18 years old.
So currently Israel is slaughtering and decimating children.
There is no excuse for this, none whatsoever
Yet even the consideration of this shows humanity that the loss of the collective consciousness
is well under way by these governments.
The deterioration of the cosmic soul for each of these individuals in public office
is quite blatant.
I will continue as Laura does to present facts and evidence so that others may not be coursed into
lies and deception by these fouls governments who advocate nothing but death and destruction to the mind, body, and spirit of humanity...
