Labour leader concerned Gaza ceasefire could lead to violence
He is therefore hoping the bombing will continue
Former human rights lawyer Sir Keir Starmer is hugely concerned that if the Israeli genocide is stopped, this could lead to violence. After consulting experts and ignoring their advice, the Labour leader has sensibly concluded the only way to avoid the risk of violence is to obliterate northern Gaza. This is because it doesn’t count as violence when 3,457 Palestinian babies are killed (more than have been killed in conflict zones worldwide since 2019).
The Labour leader insists the only credible approach is a “humanitarian pause” so we can give Palestinians a glass of water before they are blown up with bombs manufactured in the UK.
“It is the only credible approach which has a chance of what we all want to see in Gaza,” Starmer said, presumably meaning we all want to see more rubble.
Sadly, Sir Keir can’t think of a way to stop Palestinians being blown up with bombs manufactured in the UK - and since no one else can think of a way (apart from everyone who can), this means we must support genocide. This is how diplomacy works.
“You cannot freeze that situation without denying a sovereign state its self-defence,” Starmer explained, denying the state of Palestine any form of defence.
Sir Keir explained a humanitarian pause of three hours is the best way to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians who’ve lost their homes, livelihoods and family members, and have no idea if they’re going to see the weekend.
Sadly, a ceasefire would not be better for Palestinians, although no one is clear why. It’s just one of those things that becomes true if someone says it authoritatively while wearing an expensive suit.
Sir Keir demonstrated the kind of leadership we need by suspending Labour MP Andy McDonald because the bastard called for Israel and Palestine to live in “peaceful liberty”. This sounded worryingly like Andy was calling for a ceasefire and therefore he had to be punished. Sir Keir warned his front benchers that if they call for a ceasefire they will be sacked.
Some shadow cabinet members have defied their leader, such as Jess Phillips, who is deeply concerned that if she doesn’t back a ceasefire, her Muslim constituents will stop voting for her. Life as a self-serving careerist can get surprisingly complicated.
The Labour leader has rejected calls to sack himself for backing the siege of Gaza which involved withholding food, water, medicines and power from civilians. He clarified this is because supporting collective punishment is much better than supporting peace.
Palestinian children are dying at a rate of one every ten minutes and the worst thing Labour could do is ask for this to be slowed down to zero. Remember, if the death toll reaches zero, violence could ensue.
Sir Keir explained it would be unwise to prematurely accuse Israel of war crimes as it could prevent the loss of Palestinian lives.
“I think it’s unwise for politicians to sit on stages like this and . . . pronounce which acts may or may not be in accordance with international law,” Starmer said.
Just because Sir Keir confidently called out war crimes in Ukraine when he saw them, doesn’t mean he should call out war crimes in Palestine when he sees them. The Labour leader said a premature ceasefire would upset the arms manufacturers he hopes will donate to Labour’s election campaign.
Starmer reiterated that if a UN investigation finds Israel guilty of war crimes, he will happily deny ever supporting war crimes and claim he was in favour of Palestinian liberation all along. He is a man of true principle and to prove this, he had strong words for Netanyahu over the ongoing telecommunications blackout:
“On the comms blackout, I think everybody was concerned, erm, about the comms blackout and, erm, uh, uh, and erm, concerns have been raised, erm, in relation to that understandably, erm, for reasons that everybody will understand.”
Powerful stuff.
Clearly, Starmer is our most impressive public speaker since the titanic Liz Truss (the one who sank the economy like it was struck by a giant iceberg).
One thing is clear, Starmer is looking increasingly like the warmonger the military industrial complex needs and they’re optimistic they can bribe him to start at least a couple of illegal wars when he becomes prime minister. This is a truly exciting time for bastards x

Nailed it again. The hypocrisy between the views of Starmer and other politicians on the Russian and Ukraine conflict and the Israel and Palestine conflict are there for all to see. Hopefully this will be Starmers undoing. Still waiting for anyone from the Labour front bench to stand up and be counted and resign, although I suspect a potential ministerial post will hold more sway than any principles they may hold.
Has this guy met the US? The country where the answer to mass shootings is to relax gun control laws and give everyone more guns? It's worked out so well. For the weapons manufacturers. My state passed a law so throwing stars can be used recreationally as long as you are twelve. What could possibly go wrong? His thoughts and ideas make no sense whatsoever.
There's no searching or investigating to be done about breaking international law or war crimes. Gah! I thought the US had the clowns as elected officials. This idea of lying repeatedly and we will all start believing it eventually, doesn't work when we can all see the devastation and our elected cult leaders actually say their quiet part out loud. These leaders should be called what they are. Heartless bigots of the worst degree. Argh!
